𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐚𝐫𝐞 these balconies?! Such a different design! It's in a style called Neo Mudéjar, which marks the resurgence of the Mudéjar architecture in the 19th century.

𝑴𝒖𝒅é𝒋𝒂𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒚𝒍𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒅 under Spain's first Catholic rulers who employed Muslim artisans to construct their buildings.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒚𝒍𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒏 to have a homogenous mix of Islamic and European influences. Madrid is dotted with beautiful examples of the Neo Mudéjar style.

𝑨𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒆𝒔. This time in the elegant neoclassical style, with its equally elegant nude colour palette. I sometimes wonder what it's like to be on the other side 🤔😁

𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍, 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝒅𝒆𝒕𝒐𝒙 has been lovely as I have actually been outside enjoying some sunshine and 20 degree weather! Can't believe the churro season is officially coming to an end!

𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒏 𝒖𝒑 those balconies, let the spring air in and lounge in the sunshine reading a book!

𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝒅𝒆 𝑶𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒂, near metro station Alonso Martínez always gives me a Parisian vibe.

𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔, maybe it's the ornate doors and balconies, maybe it's that exclusive vibe that this street gives for being in a posh locality. The sombre weather certainly heightened that feeling and I mentally felt transported to Paris 😂

𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒆𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒂𝒚, 𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒆 of the best streets to observe spring in Madrid, whilst being surrounded by cityscape. Normally there is outdoor seating and the pedestrian section turns it into a very cozy corner despite the city's usual clamour.
