Gaudí’s canvas: Barcelona

by Vrushali Deshmukhupdated on January 13, 2021May 22, 20175 Comments on Gaudí’s canvas: Barcelona

My trip to Barcelona recently in March 2017 began on a sour note.  I was on a 2-week whirlwind tour of Spain- a country that I had been aching to visit for the last 7 years. My travel agent had sold me a tour package under the garb of it being ‘very culturally enlightening’. It was …

𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 Hotel Riu Plaza España? Some of the most breathtaking views with a glass walkway 😍 Don't forget to catch some sun here now that it's warming up!

Madrid's viewpoints (3/6)

One of my favourite parks of Madrid, in the very 'castizo' (authentic) district of Carabanchel. Normally they have the festival of San Isidro here with all the music, dancing & food but due to the pandemic, they changed the location this year. It's on a slight hilly terrain and has a beautiful sunset setting. I was very lucky to be living close by during my time in Madrid 💓💓.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐚𝐫𝐞 these balconies?! Such a different design! It's in a style called Neo Mudéjar, which marks the resurgence of the Mudéjar architecture in the 19th century.
